Breanna Quinto

Hello and welcome to my page! I’m Breanna, a Registered Acupuncturist, who graduated with honours in 2018, although that is not where my story starts. 

 

In 2015, I began my journey at Georgian College, studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. However, this is not what I saw myself doing long-term. Before I started this program, I had my mind set on becoming a paramedic. 

 

Throughout high school, I fell in love with medical science and I knew that I wanted a career that I could combine my passion for science, my desire to help people, and ambition to contribute to society. As I grew older, I also realized that I wanted a family of my own, and that the life of a paramedic would be quite taxing on my relationships with family and friends- which was, and still are very important to me. This is where I started my search for a new career that would give me time to nourish my relationships, but still feel a sense of gratitude.

 

After several days of surfing the internet and about 150 career aptitude tests later (seriously), I finally stumbled upon the Acupuncture program. Riddled with skepticism, I was so intrigued. I started to do my research; I started renting books & blogs, and took many trips to the library. All of the Western medical information I had learned was suddenly not important anymore. I remember thinking “can you really heal the body with needles?! No meds?!” That’s when I knew, this was for me, this is my calling. I must learn more!

 

So here I am, almost 5 years later, with a head full of knowledge and a heart full of passion.
